Physiotherapy Treatment in TMJ (Jaw) Pain
TMJ (jaw) pain is a silent problem in most communities. Almost 70% of us have some signs or symptoms of jaw dysfunction but very few of us seek treatment for this. This is a presentation that I do for the final year dental students at Griffith University. It highlights how physiotherapy is well placed to reduce and facilitate the healing in Temperomandibular (TMJ) pain.
Through an integrated approach with a good assessment, good hands on treatment and the right relaxation, jaw and neck exercises Ian had found he cab bring about good resolution even in stubborn Jaw problems.
